In addition to my freelance, I have taught animation at Grant Middle School in Redding California .  With a tablet app, the kids use the principles of animation to create animations of their own.  Then using those new skills the students work to develop a short film together and function as a studio.  It is a great chance for the kids to learn teamwork, work on a schedule, they came up with their scenes, I storyboarded,  then they animated with my help, learning how to tell a story and use creative problem solving.  I finished a few scenes myself due to an early release year because of Covid. I really enjoyed this process though. It was really exciting to work with them!
